Karen S. Garvin is an independent historian, full-time copyeditor, and freelance writer. She has a master’s degree in history and an undergraduate degree in communications. When she’s not working, Karen spends most of her free time thinking of more writing projects to tackle, but also enjoys photography, travel, Steampunk, crochet, and other crafts.
Her nonfiction projects include encyclopedia articles on a variety of historical and related topics. Karen is also working on turning her master’s thesis on Victorian detectives and detective fiction into a book. On the fiction front, Karen has a short story in Columbia Writer’s Trapped Tales and is working on selling her first novel.
